Located in one of the UK’s most beautiful places, Newton Hall is nestled in the heart of a National Trust-designated Area of Outstanding Beauty, which fuses the best of both worlds – spectacular countryside and breath-taking coastal views. Ideally located it’s an hours drive from the metropolitan heart of Newcastle to the south and Scotland’s capital city, Edinburgh to the north.

When we began offering weddings at Newton Hall we had a dream. We dreamt of a magical place where all that is staid and boring about a traditional country house is left in the past and replaced with fun, imagination and passion. Specialising in unique weddings, private parties and corporate events, Newton Hall is a luxury hotel in the heart of Northumberland’s spectacular coastline. A rare find, Newton Hall is a place of fun, fantasy, love and laughter and when it comes to special occasions we’re completely re-writing the book.

 

A quirky, rambling 18th Century country house at the heart of what many consider to be England’s greatest stretch of natural coastline with miles of picturesque countryside and coastlines to enjoy, it is the perfect place to tie the knot – and your guests will love it too.

Our coastal location means you can participate in a range of activities including sedate walks, family fun on the beach and extreme sports in our vey own outdoor Adventure Academy. We also love little people, meaning every generation can enjoy an amazing Northumbrian escape.

 

Hosting only one wedding a day, we will provide you with a big, beautiful country house the 5-star service you deserve. This is no ordinary hotel – there are no golfers and no ladies ‘who lunch’ to get in the way of your perfect wedding stay.

  • Absolutely fantastic, couldn’t fault the girls they have been brilliant. Everything with the venue has been great and the food taster was lovely to be able to see what we would have. Holly has been amazing she is absolutely fantastic and I do hope this gets sent back to her she’s so warm and calming; if I’ve ever thought ahh gosh what about this she’s just so lovely like don’t worry its fine. She is an absolute credit to your company she really is.

  • Can we just say a huge massive thank you to everyone involved in our wedding on Saturday at Newton Hall. It was truly amazing. Everything ran smoothly and to plan and we couldn't have asked for any better.  Craig the MOC is truly an amazing asset to the company and venue and we were so grateful to be under his wing for the whole day. The guests commented on how amazing he was as well. He made everyone feel relaxed and at ease.  I think it was becky who was also doing a lot of managing behind the scenes and she again was brilliant. We never once worried or panicked about anything.  Thank you again for all you did with the planning. Attending a venue to get married which you have never visited is quite daunting, but we had the most amazing and perfect day.

  • …you have been so incredibly organised and responsive as a wedding coordinator. This was especially impressive given that we had to more or less completely redesign our wedding 72 hours prior when all the pandemic madness started. Given that our wedding last year wasn't even remotely like what we had originally planned, we honestly feel so lucky that we were able to have such a relaxed, intimate wedding day and were so fortunate that we had such an accommodating venue like Newton Hall who made it all possible. It is a real testiment to you and the company. We really cannot praise Newton Hall/Apartment Group more highly, we loved our small wedding last year so much and could not be more impressed with service from start to finish - even with the stresses which the pandemic created! We are already booked to stay at the Joiners Arms in September and our friends who were at the small celebration last year loved NH/Joiners so much that many of them have booked to return since.

  • We hope you are doing well and that the PMs latest announcement was good news for you guys!  Now that the dust has settled a few weeks later we just wanted to reach out and say a big thank you to you for everything, we know it wasn't easy in the run up to our big day!   • I would just like to drop a little message to thank all the team at newton hall for all there amazing work they have done over the past year, we had our wedding a year ago to the day today and we've just arrived home from our complimentary stay and we just wanted to thank you for everything you have all done for us and the standard of service has been second to non without a doubt, waking up on our first wedding anniversary in the most amazing place we said the most important words of our lives was simply perfect and we couldn't of made it possible without you all, reliving the best moments of our lives in the best possible way, once again thank you so much and I'm sure it wont be the last time we will be visiting.
